Julia Nikiel is a Junior Lecturer and doctoral candidate in the Department of American Literature and Culture at Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin, Poland. Her academic interests include theories of globalization, space and place in post-millennial American and Canadian literature, and experimental fiction. Currently, she is working on a dissertation in which she examines the influence of the 20th-century restructuring of capitalism and the consequent emergence of a global informational society on contemporary North-American literature.

Izabella Kimak is an Assistant Professor at the Department of American Literature and Culture at Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin, Poland. Her research interests encompass American ethnic literature, race, post-colonial and gender studies, and the intersection of literary and non-literary arts. She has published extensively on South Asian American women’s literature, especially on literary representations of female sexuality. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the EAAS Women’s Network.
